One of the Frontiers Research Foundation's projects is Friends of Frontiers, a not-for-profit initiative to drive the Frontiers’ mission and bring visionaries together to ensure access to research knowledge without boundaries. Friends of Frontiers is, therefore, an attempt to foster community support for the Open Access movement.  The community of friends is composed of individuals and many different kinds of organizations that contribute in a variety of ways to the Frontiers' mission. Some of the current friends are individuals, foundations, open access organizations and academic institutions..
